Was all of that talk about how they couldn't repair the 787 if it had minor structural damage true? Like say if a wing tapped another wing during taxi?
It can be repaired, the repair will be stronger than before, however, depending on the damage the weight of the aircraft could increase negating the benefits of buying such an airplane. It's basically a bad idea to buy a 787, hence why Delta is waiting a long time to evaluate it more.
