I don't know your circumstances, but times do change and no students/instructors share the same experience. I started with AV-ED in 2008 teaching ground schools and it's been a great experience. I did flight training out of HEF with Manassas Aviation Center up until they declared insolvency, did take a look at Dulles Aviation but didn't like that in order to fly their seminole you needed 100 hours with an instructor, not sure if that is still the same for insurance requirements, but our requirements with AV-ED is less strict for the multi.
