One of the comment-ers mentioned Aero Mexico didn't mention the tail strike on takeoff.

We parked close to this 762 after it was moved to the gate, the right main gear tires were deflated and it seemed the aircraft was leaning on the gear strut.
Landed infront of the A330 and saw the inspection of the nosewheel where, from a distance, damage was visible to tire/wheel and strut.

why didn't the crew inform atc about the tail strike? the air europa jet started 7 (!) min later

Very surprised the A330 was cleared to take off before a runway inspection had taken place! I'm guessing the rules are different in Spain to the UK? Or had the crew just not advised ATC of their bum scrape until after the 'bus had been given take off clearance?
