There is plenty to worry about. Especially if we have pilots that are going to hit ATP mins in mid to late July. If they were doing their ATP ride in the Saab/1900, then they have had plenty of time (and still do) to study and the study time is beneficial rather than a cram and dump.
Besides, how many other airlines are sending FOs out to fly a Seminole to get their ATP?
I agree with you guys being upset, and how the airline is looking to check a box so cheaply and not fulfill the safety intent of the regulation. But the ATP course is designed for people with little or no experience to pass the training in 2 days. Is no ideal but is not a course that is that difficult. During this testing you don't need to tear the seminole apart and put it back together. There is a difference between a type rating oral and checking and one just for an ATP. I agree with you guys that it sucks but is not something that is impossible.
