FAR Part 1 definition: "Second in command means a pilot who is designated to be second in command of an aircraft during flight time."

Bottom line (for me personally) is, can you defend how you logged your flight time in an interview? If not I'd be hesitant to log anything outside the legal definitions of the FARs. That said, different companies have differing guidance on how to translate military times, usually published on their website.
