syd, obviously there are plenty of guys I empathize with. Multiple furloughs, bankruptcy, stagnation, horrendous health issues, etc.
But along with those come the majority... the guy with four divorces, the guy who thinks he deserves to own and fly a warbird or a yacht or a vacation home in Barbados. The greedy. $2 million is not enough, he wants $3 million.
And yes, the guy who made outrageous investment decisions. Or none at all.
Too bad we can't interview each guy at 60 and say "You deserve 5 more years, but you don't"
Sounds like that might be true for AA pilots, they haven't lost their pensions...yet.
Nobody I know at Delta has any of that stuff anymore! Hell, I'm a 777 Captain with 4 kids in college, I can't afford to pay... attention!
My retirement plan consists of consuming a bottle of Jack and then taking a fast ride on a Harley.
