Thanks typhoon, i checked out flightinfo and got a lot of useful information. Which then also took me to another forum, with great things. I think im starting to realize how big a process this is going to be, and preparing myself is the best way to improve my chances. There is a lot of oppertunity at Cathay but with some trade off's like previously stated. I appricate all the help I can get!
