It depends on your course of study but some of the online stuff is pretty good. I've looked into an aviation science masters with Perdue and political science with University of Nebraska and Virginia Tech.
A lot of these programs you meet online using video conference software, reducing the gap between online and traditional institutions. Even traditional programs are going this route so students can take classes while interning in remote locations.
