All Parker did was offer his original deal, but add a 4% signing bonus. That is the "sweetener". The "ultimatum" was that it was concurrently offered with the proffer of arbitration. So, we got both our sweetener and ultimatum, although packaged differently then I predicted.

Will the MEC blink ?

That is the question and on that one, I have no idea. I give it an even 50/50 chance to be put out for vote. Clearly the MEC won't ratify this.
