The United side has the best schedules and lines. If you live near by to IAD, it would easily be the best base. As a commuter, not so much, depends where you live. If you get IAD , I'd imagine it would be a very short wait before you got DFW.
I am 100% confident that Mesa is getting more flying down the road, so I wouldnt worry.
