That rumor has been around since the 90's.

It's probably more steeped in the reality that working for a FedEx feeder (especially NOW in this hyper competitive arena) DOESN'T give one a leg up.

And by the time it makes it's way down the chain and through the telephone game it morphs into the "FedEx WON'T hire pilots from FedEx feeders" rumor that's been prevalent for so long.

And yep, I KNOW, WE ALL KNOW, there's PLENTY of pilots at FX that never flew anything besides turbo props. And I KNOW.....I KNOW......someone is gonna say "we'll, I know so and so, and they got hired from a FedEx feeder and never flew a (insert whatever here)". Yep, I KNOW THOSE GUYS TOO. I know those guys hired at SW, UAL, DAL, AA and whatever that AREN'T able to check the space shuttle/astronaut box on the app. That was DIFFERENT TIME, a DIFFERENT ERA, and DIFFERENT HIRING situation.
