Just answer one question. At which place would you rather be stuck? If I was a new guy I'd rather get stuck at Skywest. You could get your 175 fix if that's your thing, as well as lots of diverse flying. Also they have about a billion in the bank for rainy days, MRJs lots of AC on order. Compass won't be going away either anytime soon but not as big as Skywest.
