Pluses:
- I got an interview date based on my expected sep date (assuming palace chase got approved), and they told me they could work with me if the separation date moved in either direction. I'm sure they are getting used to people in this situation and they seemed very happy to help.
- My reserve unit has been helpful and willing to move around my re-qual whatnot. They understand the airline gig in my number one priority.

Negatives:
-I moving back from overseas. Palace chase took WAY longer than it should have because the office is flooded with apps. Long story short, I'm going have less than a month to move, and may have to sell back some leave. Very stressful.
-I may have to tell the airline (if I get a job offer), that my re-qual date is already scheduled. Still working with my unit, but at some point they have to nail down a school slot for me. I know other people have done this and the airline is understanding, but it sucks having to say "Thanks for the job! I'll start when its convenient for me."

My two cents: If I could do it over again, I still would take the same path. I was offered an opportunity to interview with a Reserve unit very early on and they asked me to start sooner than later. That, along with the desire to get an earlier seniority number, is the only reason I put in for PC. The process has been an absolute nightmare, with no movement on my package for weeks at time at some points.
If you like your current AD unit, and you don't think 6-12 months of seniority numbers is worth an incredible amount of stress and butt pain, I would do palace front, which is WAY less miserable. PM me if you have questions.
