I'll nominate the jump seater I just had. We were given a direct to off a heading after climbing through a higher altitude. He spoke up and told us we weren't direct while still climbing to that altitude. If you're going to backseat drive when we're sharing our cockpit with you, at least be right.
So if someone speaks up and questions any clearance, right or wrong you immediately belittle them and ruin CRM in the cockpit? Even if the guy was wrong at least he said something instead of drooling on himself and possibly on you or your FO.
Instead you could check with ATC and verify the clearance and see what they really wanted.
