If you read this quickly Hermon's use of italics makes it seem as if the MEC approved this agreement.
They did NOT! (my own italics)
Our union is not approving or recommending anything. They are merely inviting us to participate directly in the negotiating process. This thing needs some changes. Some more back and forth. That's all a NO vote does. Don't even look at it as a rejection, or turning down a deal. It's not. It merely says more work is needed to align this deal with the wishes of the majority.
I hope Richard, Donatelli, and the NC are smart enough to see that.
