I had a 3 day layover in SFS followed by a deadhead to KIX and a 36 hour layover before operating back to the States. Rather than being stuck in Subic, I took the Airbus down to Bangkok and rode with the crew to the Grand Sukhumvit, where I did some R & R
for 4 days before deadheading directly from BKK to KIX, where I was picked up by the normal transportation and driven to the hotel. The key to any/all of the above is prior coordination. You do need to check with the hotel about being offered the FedEx rate, and pre-coordinate with ground transport, via email. Good Luck!
