The B-58 had four J-79s; the F-4 had two.

Total FF in burner on takeoff for the F-4E or G was 98,500 lbs/hr. This is for late model J-79-17 low-smoke engines.

The "Major Deutchendorf" mentioned in the film was John Denver's dad.
