With all do respect, that is a false statement. If Qatar Airways was such a well paying gig, guys from ALL over the world, not just certain areas, would be lined up to work for them. This is FAR from the case. Legacy Captains on wide bodies are grossing well OVER 250K. Not to mention, they have a retirement match on top of their salary that pays 16% of their gross into a retirement account. It is my understanding that Qatar Airways barely even has any retirement program to speak of, if they even have one at all. Lets stay with reality. I'm sure the US legacies are far from perfect, but lets not bend facts about Qatar and their salary package being superior to any major in the US, let alone a legacy..(other than the fact it's tax free)
