Ditto..... To answer your orgional question, "what would you do?" I'd go to the SWA interview, period. If you don't, you will forever wonder what might have happened. I know, I'm in a similar position currently.
For the sake of discussion, If you don't have the type as you stated at the top, you can go to the interview in August, and let's say you get offered a job after the decision board in September, then you have 6 months to get the type, fast forward to March, you will know by then how the corporate job is playing out, if it is shaky, you get your type, then you get put in the SWA pool, could be 3-4 more months before you get a class date in Dallas. You really do have time to see how it will go.
If you don't get offered a job in September, don't screw up the corporate gig, it will have to pay the bills now....
