Actually, it would be interesting for all pilots involved. If you're assuming an SLI would automatically put them more junior in an SLI to where they would have been had they stayed at Envoy, depending on their status (CA/FO) and seniority, that may not end up the case. Same goes for pecking order to flow to AA.

In a consolidation scenario, it's impossible to tell whether such a pre-merger situation would or would not benefit said pilots as who knows who the acquirer would be, how an SLI would go and what contractual modifications would occur as part of such a situation. Compass might actually have the edge if their CBA is more attractive (12/4 already in place) and Envoy is broken up to not just one carrier, but more then one.
