No requirement for being in base prior to domestic trip by by a certain amount of time. (Some restrictions on deviating on scheduled deadheads that require you to be in place prior to your show time) However, our fatigue risk management highly discourages this. If commuting into a trip on FedEx and something goes wrong and you miss your sign in, you are protected. There are some caveats, such as you are not protected if commuting into reserve and you miss your sign in. If you call in Fatigued and you had commuted in right before your trip, you will more than likely end up on the carpet. Just my opinion.
