I've done Delta and American interviews. Hired by both, going with American. One big selling point was how I was treated at American vice Delta. If you know about the Delta hiring process you know it is a major PITA and they treat you like 'we are the best, you want us, end of story.' American is the exact opposite. They treat you like 'you are the best, we want you, and welcome to the family.' There is not gouge for American because you don't need it. Either you have the skills and personality or you don't. It's 1/2 day of computer testing that requires zero prep and then the next day it's another 1/2 day of interviews that are much more straight forward than Delta. There are no stump the dummy type of questions. Maybe others have different opinions, but this was my experience between the two. After the interview and hiring was done, it was the same world-class treatment from American and the same cold shoulder from Delta. I hope you get fortunate enough for an American interview!
