What? No. A pilot could not get fired for refusing to fly with OPEN write-ups. At least his firing would not be upheld. There's no such thing as flying with "write-ups." Do you mean MELS? If a pilot refused to fly because of too many MEL items, he could be disciplined. Termination? Maybe. Depends on his reason for refusing. If he can articulate reasons why it's not safe then I think he would be OK. Simple refusal on principal? Not so much.
