Depends on what the trade-off is before I accept it. 717s from C2012 and the demise of the 50 seater far outweighed the small gains in 76 seaters. The past few years a tremendous amount of flying has been returned to Delta Air Lines pilots and that trend is continuing.
As mentioned in the Chairman's letter, "We see significant opportunities to leverage changes the company needs into changes we need that far outweigh any real or perceived negatives."
Wait...Hold up! So C2012 approval actually brought the 717 to Delta? I never knew that! /SARC. And 50-seaters have been doomed from the get-go. They had a spot in history, but it was a very tiny window. Leo "F" Mullins was a fool to buy them up in the first place. Are you suggesting 76-seater gains are okay as long as they are small, even though Delta pilots don't fly them? This is where you and I must part ways.
