FR8Hauler's right. If you fancy a job at FedEx or UPS, go fly multi-turbine somewhere. T-6 time is just like T-34 time--single-engine turboprop. Look into flying the T-44 with the Navy in Corpus--much more relaxed atmosphere than the T-37 or T-1 with the USAF. That having been said, the Texan is a complete blast, and JetBlue, Continental, et. al., seem to be perfectly happy with turbine PIC of any kind as long as you've got 1,000 hrs total time in aircraft over 20,000 lbs or jets over 12,000. Plenty of former Herc drivers flying the Texan down here in Pensacola too.
