Sounds like pie in the sky. Lets be realistic. If your total time is low the company's insurance company may not let you fly left seat. Therefore, why do you need a type rating. However, if he's willing to pay for training, then tell him you will sign a training bond in return for your commitment to the company for a certain number of years.

Bottom line is to remember.. if it sounds to good to be true... it is... and this doen't even sound like a good deal.
