I agree that for a new student a degree in other than aviation is best. However, applying ratings is the fastest way to finish a degree. After you're hired you'll have a couple years on reserve and/or in a crash pad to get an MBA as a back-up in case you need it.
How many credits did they give you for private through multi instructor?
