Because they pay WB (ER) pay and we have over 100 of them. UAL and AA have really shrunk their 757 fleet, mistakenly imo. Oh, and for pay discussions, we've considered the 757 fleet as part of the 7ER (WB) fleet for about 15 years or more.
Just from a pay perspective, I don't consider the ER a wide body position. There's a 20/hour difference for fo's and a 30/hour difference for captains between the er and the 765. Jmho.,, Papa
