I flew with a captain last week who brandished the Blue gloves and proceeded to work up a sweat cleaning the plane in front of 188 pax. He was complaining about the check-in policy but still had a shot of Bluejuice before becoming part of the vacuum crew.
It's embarrassing, degrading and frustrating. Why can't people just get it! Don't clean, it's simple!! Help the FAs in other ways but dumpster diving in the back shouldn't be one. I'm embarrassed when I see guys doing it in front of paying passengers. BlewJet is the only pilot group doing this.... I don't get it.
We have some people here that are going beyond what they should to "help the on time" and it's hiding the true problem of our operations. The brake dropping, cleaning, early boarding, "comedy" show in front passengers before we push, etc. etc. etc.
It's funny, I use to laugh about how stiff Delta pilots were but now I'm realizing, they get it (mostly)!
Anyways rant over, let's push for a contract!
