I agree. I don't want to say anything negative but the reality is that I almost quit flying because of DCA. Very expensive with very little concern for the student. I spent at least 3 times what I was quoted before pulling out. I will be starting training for a 121 where my classmates will be just starting their "standarizion" to be a CFI. It is up to you to chose your path. All I can say is don't fall for the carrot and stick.
