If said training contract is a promissory note then the company is acting as a bank giving you a loan. Such financial instruments are enforceable in court. If they want to bring legal action against the borrower, they certainly can. As I have said before, I am strongly against any of these pay to play arrangements. If you must play, then ask for the contract ahead of committing to any class date. Take it to a lawyer and have it reviewed. Then, and only then, can you make an informed decision.

Contracts are great until that first day on the line tossing bags into the back, thinking "man, this isn't what it's cracked up to be."
