This right here! Happened to a squadronmates friend. Thankfully, it was back in the 90s and people didn't totally lose their minds. He's a DAL guy, and he kept his job. Might be the same instance.

I finish a trip, wash my clothes, repack my bag and put it away until my next trip. There are 3 pockets that I never use, therefor I don't even open them. I live alone, so unless someone breaks into my house and slips something into my bag, I should be ok. Now I guess if you have an angry significant other, you might want to pat down your bag. My flight bag is totally different, after forgetting my ID once, I check that mofo like 9 times before I leave.
