At 2350 on the 1st, there is no issue with having paper in the cockpit. 11 minutes later, suddenly the paper is forbidden material, and must be taken to the back of the plane? Doesn't make sense. Not saying I want to carry it around, but carry it I must, until the end of the trip after 2 May. What does it really matter if it's in the cockpit, not being used, as it has been for the past 6 weeks?
The empty weight and balance of the airplane is being changed by 60ish pounds up front that day. Thank god.
