This is the problem with the 2 class system set up by ALPA and the mainline. DAL had jobs available for all pilots to flow into DAL after the buyout but mearly because of unequal treatment between mainlines and regionals a mainlines job gets protected like NWA and Western Airlines pilots but a regional will not. It's OK to lower regional pilots pay for higher pay and profit sharing mainline (like giving up scope) but not give equal status for the same work performed.
