Agreed. Her job has absolutely nothing to do with flying airplanes.
Her choices should be:
1. Keep her cushy job, but get off the PILOT seniority list.
2. Stay on the seniority list, but leave her cushy job.
I think we all know which one she'd choose.
Management pilots who work in some capacity having to do with flying airplanes (VP Flt. Ops., VP of pilot training, etc.) should be able to stay on the seniority list. Otherwise, they need to resign their number.
