It shouldn't affect your situation, provided that you have all the necessary documentation to clarify your situation, and can obtain an FAA first class medical.
I know a fellow that has sleep apnea and has a similar limitation. It hasn't had an effect on his being hired, and he recently went through a med screening by a major airline and didn't have any issues.
Just make sure that when you interview (or go for a company physical) you take all of the necessary background documentation that you show to your AME each time you get a medical.
