Alaska and Delta both contract for a product. That currently doesn’t include RNP or CAT III. Everything comes with a price.
Thus far, the “bean counters” have determined that the cost outweighs the benefit. If they want it, they will get it. RNP is in the works.
Well I imagine that once Horizon gets their staffing issues back in order, Skywests lack of CAT 3 and RNP will be considered for future contracts.
This just helps solidify the case to keep thing in-house for the Alaska Air Group.
