I hate to even ask this question, since I was accused of “throwing shade” at SWA in another thread, but doesn’t basing retro on actual TFPs flown reward “undesirable” behavior during by contract negotiations? Wouldn’t a better system be average TFP? Then folks wouldn’t be so willing to help the company out during contract talks.
