Good info on the letter from United, I heard of one guy getting that, but from a fairly large sample size. It looks like 6 months will be plenty of time to wait for a potential interview after deployment return, as long as most everything is set up prior to my departure.

My question about playing with fire on availability was more for morbid curiosity. There is no way I'd try it because I'd be the one guy out of 50 that gets bit in the ass!
