Wondering the exact same thing myself. Holiday Inn downtown was always accommodating and had a great shuttle service, walkable to great breweries/restaurants. New place, not so much.
Haven't stayed in Buffalo recently but here's a plug for the crew care forms... if you like a hotel, go in and put in a positive comment.
Normally they only get negative feedback so if they've gotten XX negative comments from crews and no positive, they'll start looking for a different hotel.
Once you make the login for crew care it doesn't take long to fill out the comments.
