Interview experience:
Every one's previous posts are right on. Check out several posts prior for tech questions. One guy wrote every question down for the past 4 years. Microsoft Flight sim with a Citation II add on are all that is needed. The weather they give you is 300 overcast, 2sm vis, calm winds. You are cleared Radar vectors to KILG (Departing and landing RWY1) climb and maintain 4000 expect 6000 10 minutes after departure. They give a plate and some aircraft info. You t/o rwy 1 with t/o flaps (first detent) at 150 - 200 kts (12 - 15 degrees nose up). At 1000 feet you retract flaps and set climb power (90%). Level off at 4000 (about 3 degrees nose up) and set power of about 73 %. Start steep turns. Add power to about 80% going through 30 degrees bank (pitch up to about 5 degrees). You then go direct LOM to hold. Each of you will get different entries. Fly hold at 150 kts (about 64% power). I set flaps on inbound turn and then gear down one dot below gs, final flaps at gs intercept. Fly Ils at 120 Kts. About 500-600 FPM to maintain G/S. Sim was strainght forward. Both me and my sim partner made mistakes but we each covered for each other and made sure we both looked good. SUPPORT THE OTHER GUY and you both will be fine. CRM is Key. If you mess up, move on and you will be fine. Good luck

Ever been criticized by your boss/coworker? What do you like to do in your spare time? What would you expect as an owner? .Differentiate between serving an owner and being safe. What music cds would you bring for pax? What cd s are in your car? If you had one portion of food, how would you split it with another person? If it was an owner’s anniversary what would you do special for them? What got you interested in working at NetJets? You have to buy 3 cd s for three Texas ladies going to NY. What do you get? Sinatra? Owners kids are drawing in A/C. What do you do? Tell me a little about yourself. Tell me about your most hair raising experience in an airplane and how did you react? If you had three seconds left in this interview and you had to give one word to describe yourself what would that word be? Why NetJets over 121? Tell me about a situation when you said “I really pulled that off”. Captain goes below minimum scenario. What was the last book you read? Who was the author? How did you prepare for the interview? Tell us about your current job? . You take off from FLL to TEB. A nice sweet old lady is the owner . You’re late for other owners at TEB. After you take off the old lady taps you on the shoulder and tell you that Fluffy’s hand knit sweater was forgotten at the fbo and wants to go back and get it? It’s her a/c after all. What do you do? OK, you went back for the doggy sweater and took off again. Now you are late getting into TEB. Rushing to get the pax aboard. Capt is ushering the pax and loading bags, asks you to do the pre-flight. You notice the left wing pos light is inop. It is daylight now, but the last half hour of your flight will be at night. Capt jumps into cockpit ready to go, what do you do? (Tell Capt the light is inop. He still wants to press, says we have inconvenienced pax too much, and will only be night for last 30 min. If you invited us to dinner, what would you serve? What kind of meal did you cook together most recently? Do you drink wine? (Yes, in moderation, and never before flying.) What kind of wine would you serve with the meal you just described? You say go around but he says he can make it. Questions: You’re doing a east to west coast flight and the owner sees Kansas City out the window and wants to stop there for a steak dinner. Do you do it? You have the CEO of NetJets on board. The weather is below NetJets takeoff mins, but not FAA mins. Other jets are taking off. The CEO tells you to go ahead and go. Do you do it? I think one pilot was asked what he’d do if the owner was smoking something other than tobacco. What makes a good captain? What would I do if the FO went out drinking the night before and was obviously in bad shape.
