FWIW, I was hired a few months before our current contract. I had 2515 hours TT, about 1000 of it was military. The other 1500 was small GA time (cessnas, bonanzas, etc.). I do believe that post contract, things have gotten more competitive. I don't even know if I would be in the running if I would have had to interview now. But, you never know unless you try.
