Thanks guys,
I have my recruiter meeting tomorrow so I'm nervous and excited. I don't want to make any rash decisions so I am going to take my time, but she did tell me some very encouraging things (well I hear recruiters do that a lot lol).
My programming job right now pays well, and I am good at it. However, I think one of the reasons I've been more interested in joining is because I want to do something more, maybe a little different. Maybe work a more physical job.
She said I will need to take an aptitude test and once I've done that I'll be able to look through the available jobs to see what interests me. Regardless, 4 months away from my family... ugh... I know that people do it, and I know that people need to do it. But as a guy who hasn't been away from my wife and daughter for even a day since she's been born, that will be a tough one.
