That's what we're going to have to do, but that's in fact worse than going Flaps 4. If you forget that you're transitioning to Flaps Full then you won't get a flaps warning since it is a normal landing setting. Plus you probably won't catch it in the landing check since it's so natural to just say, "Flaps 5 Set". Then you'll end up either skidding off the end of the runway, or approaching at too slow a speed for the flaps setting. Or you'll notice it below 1000' and have to go around. The only save would be that you see your approach green dot is well above the Vap speed.
Plus I remember in training that using Flaps 5 in transition was frowned upon for these very reasons. They always told us to transition with Flaps 4.
