How long from reference checks can you expect a TOL and the checkride?
I was told by several of my former bosses and references that they got called late last week from an FSDO. I've heard anywhere from this week to a year from now....
Just wanting to get an idea in my head so I know when to expect to bow out from my current job. I'm not counting my chickens but it would be nice to know. Especially since my current boss has mentioned he got called.
For me it was about 10 days for one FSDO, and then another 7-10 days for another. Keep in mind that the TOL doesn’t necessarily mean you want to bow out of your job, it’s still quite a lengthy process after that. I think the letter even says don’t give notice or take any action on your current employment.
