Was the reroute for weather unforeseen? If the reroute could be reasonably predicted, Mesa and you just violated Part 117.

For example, we are routinely routed directly through weather by dispatch rather than safely away from weather. If your weather and reroute could be foreseen, then the extension is not allowed by the FAA.

More than likely, you will hear nothing from anyone on this. What is more sad is that we have come to the point where Mesa is sending out a pilot that might exceed block time limits in the first place.

I would still file an ASAP report. I would bet the dispatcher is filing his.
It was a mid air Re-route by ATC about 1/2 way in then we got vectored around for traffic once to our final destination, yes it was unforeseen. I was at 100hrs in 26 days. Thanks for tip I’ll file an ASAP.

I meant I was averaging 92 this calendar year or 2018. I’m at just under 300 hrs after 4 months or average of 80 so well within 1,000 in 365. I was hoping to average 92/month in calendar 2018 to get some time off in December 2018, but not possible now as got reserve this month and I’ll be lucky to get 76 hours.
