It's probably cheaper for Delta to pass on any acquisition prospects altogether. I just don't see the reason to rush to move those airplanes this year, especially if the rumors about the 700s are true. Waiting the extra year for the contract to expire gives Endeavor time to get the necessary programs up and running. The new rates are attracting pilots and we can grow the seniority list down the road. I don't think a merger would be necessary.
They could transfer a couple of airplanes early and take care of the proving runs and anything else required to obtain the E175 certificate. Then transfer the rest at a incremental rate afterwards. I just don’t see Delta buying Compass. But what do I know
