What seems the best option for you guys ?
I live in the DFW area and both airlines make sense to me, I was going to go for the Envoy Cadet Program since they have a parterniship with the school I started my training with. I liked the idea of enjoying the benefits of the AAG when building my time as an instructor, and from my understanding have priority on equipment and base when starting training with the airline.
But then I saw that new AA Cadet Academy. I don’t know what the conditions are, but it seems to be a risky bet for such a long term commitment in a volatile market that is the airline industry.
Anyone knows more about what is described on their webpage ? What are the actual benefits besides maybe being provided a mentor? I don’t want to have to get stuck with them if I ever want to leave somewhere else. Would an AA cadet have any type of advantages compared to regional cadet / OTS when it comes time to work for AA ?
