I really don't know what the flex pilots expected. They had a clear example from the FO/Travelair merger. Why would they be any different? The FO pilots told them that it would be that way. It has come to pass. Even Red Label is just the really old FO reincarnated. It had 4 pilots N number assigned. You even stayed home if your assigned plane was in mx.
Most Flex pilots didn’t expect anything. They came to work everyday sure that mother Bombardier would always be there to take care of them while not paying two seconds of attention to the rest of the industry.
It’s why so many are gullible enough to think 2N just needs a year to prove how magnanimous he is without a union nevermind a lengthy, documented and unimpressive track record.
