AUS has way less pilots commuting compared to SA. The only problem with driving up to AUS is that I35 can be a complete disaster, or it might be fine. It is definitely a wildcard. There are no efficient back roads or state highways either so if there is a major accident, construction, or just normal congestion due to the massive amount of people moving to central Texas, then you will be completely hosed.
